YOUR PRIVACY MATTERS

Dream Weaver is designed with your privacy as a priority. We believe your dreams are deeply personal, and we've built the app to respect that.

DATA STORAGE

All dream entries remain on your device. We never upload the text of your dreams or your journal history to our servers.

AI PROCESSING

When you request an interpretation, the dream text is sent securely to Google Gemini only for generating the response. We do not store these requests beyond what is required to deliver the interpretation.

Dream visualizations are generated using Replicate AI. When you create dream artwork, a text prompt derived from your dream is sent to generate the image. The prompt does not contain the full dream text, only a summarized artistic description.

NOTIFICATIONS

Dream Weaver may send local notifications for morning dream reminders and reality check prompts if you enable these features. These notifications are scheduled locally on your device and do not involve any server communication. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings or within the app.

BIOMETRIC DATA

Biometric locking uses your device's secure enclave (Face ID/Touch ID/Android Biometrics). Dream Weaver never receives, processes, or stores biometric templates.

ANALYTICS & CRASH REPORTING

We use PostHog to gather anonymized usage analytics and Sentry to capture crash reports. These tools help us improve stability and understand which features are most helpful, but we do not send dream content or personally identifying information.

SUBSCRIPTIONS & PURCHASES

Purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and Google Play. We rely on RevenueCat to validate entitlement status and do not handle payment details directly.

DATA DELETION

You can delete all local data at any time using the Factory Reset option in Settings. This permanently removes dreams and preferences from your device.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Dream Weaver integrates with:

• Google Gemini: AI interpretations and transcription
• Replicate: AI image generation for dream visualizations
• RevenueCat: subscription management
• PostHog: anonymized analytics
• Sentry: crash monitoring

Each provider has its own privacy policy describing how it handles data.

DATA RETENTION

Your dream journal data is stored indefinitely on your device until you choose to delete it. We do not have access to your locally stored dreams. Analytics data collected by PostHog and Sentry is retained according to their respective data retention policies and does not include dream content.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Dream Weaver is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
